Until further notice, effective immediately, March 23, 2020, to prevent the spreading of the corona-virus, ONLY 1 ADULT will accompany the patient to the doctor visit.  Also, screening questions will be asked prior to setting an office visit appointment.  We want to keep our families and staff safe

Due to the COVID-19 situation, and keeping our families safe, Lighthouse Pediatrics is implementing a temporary protocol for office visits as follow:

  • Walk-in visits: NONE
  • Sick Visits: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:  9AM -11AM and 2PM-5PM. CALL FOR APPOINTMENT
  • Well Visits (0- 24 months old):  CALL FOR APPOINTMENT.         Patients > 3 yrs old, call after April 15, 2020
  • Wednesday and Saturday:  No well Visits

We are aware that this may seem restrictive, but our main concern is for our families' safety.  Well visits are important, but we want to make certain everyone stays Well.

We will re-establish our normal scheduling once the COVID-19 situation settles down.

 

Debido a la situación de COVID-19 (Corona Virus) y a mantener a nuestras familias seguras, Lighthouse Pediatrics esta implementando un protocolo temporal para visitas al consultoría de la siguiente manera:

  • Visita sin cita por ENFERMEDADES MENORES: NADA

  • Visitas por enfermedad, llamar para cita: Lunes, Martes, Jueves & Viernes: 9AM – 11AM y 2PM – 5PM; LLAMAR A LA OFICINA PRIMERO

  • Visitas para Examen Fisico, solamente pacientes 0-24 Meses, LLAMEN A LA OFICINA PRIMERO

    Pacientes > 3 Anos (y mayor), llamen a la oficina despues de 15 de Abril de 2020.

  • Miercoles & Sabado: No habran citas para Examen Fisico.

Somo conscientes de que esto puede parecer restrictivo, nuestra principal preocupación es la seguridad de nuestras familias.

Las visitas de bienestar son importantes, pero queremos asegurarnos de que todos se mantengan bien. Restableceremos nuestra programación normal una vez que la situación se calme.

COVID-19 is a new coronavirus. The Symptoms include fever and symptoms of lower respiratory illness such as cough, fever, headache and difficulty breathing. The symptoms are similar to that of the flu or common cold. Severe cases can cause pneumonia and other complications, especially in older individuals and those with underlying health conditions and suppressed immune systems. The World Health Organization has designated COVID-19 as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Lighthouse Pediatrics does not have rapid test kits available to diagnose COVID-19, CDC guidelines must be met in order for testing to be performed by NY State Lab Facilities only.

How to protect yourself and prevent the spread on COVID-19:

  • Cover your mouth and nose with tissue or inside of elbow, when sneezing or coughing. If tissue was used, throw it out immediately after use.
  • Wash your hands often, with soap and water, for 20 seconds. Wash your hands before eating, after eating, after bathroom use, after coming indoors from outdoors, etc.
  • You can also use hand sanitizer, it should contain 60 to 95% alcohol, cover all surfaces of your hand and rub together until they feel dry. 
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose, mouth, ears, face with your hands.

COVID-19 es un nuevo coronavirus. Los síntomas incluyen fiebre y síntomas de enfermedades respiratorias como tos, fiebre, dolor de cabeza y dificultad para respirar. WELL VISITappointments not canceled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time or fail to show up for an appointment will be charged a $30 admin fee; for SATURDAY and HOLIDAYS, fee will be $40.  As in the past, all other appointments not canceled > 24 hour or NO SHOW for an appointment will be charged a $20 administrative fee.  Please note that we will be phasing out courtesy phone calls.  When parent/guardian receive an electronic message from Lighthouse Pediatrics, please SELF-CONFIRM appointment electronically to inform us that you are confirmed for the appointment.

Lighthouse Pediatrics is no longer accepting NEW OR ESTABLISHED patients to HealthFirst Insurance Plan.The HealthFirst Panel is CLOSED.  However, Lighthouse Pediatrics is still accepting new or established patients to EmblemHealth and Empire-Anthem-HealthPlus insurance plan.

The first weeks and months after a baby is born are wonderful feelings, yet sometimes difficult time in a woman's life.  It's more enjoyable when you can sit and talk about it with other new mothers, and also have your questions answered. A Breastfeeding Support Group will meet up at Lighthouse Pediatrics on the last Friday of each month, 9AM - 10:30AM.  Expectant moms are welcome to join the meeting.  No advanced registration is required. Walk-In-Hour Office Visits are as follows:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM - 8:45 AM.  Walk-In-Hour office visits are only for established patients (>6 months old) to address minor illnesses (e.g. rash, sore throat, earache, fever and cold). Patients with chronic or complicated illnesses will be required to schedule an office visit during regular office hours.  There will be no Walk-In-Hour visits on Fridays and Saturdays. Walk-In-Hour visits are subject to change.  The office phone will not be turn ON until 9 AM.

To avoid delays in completing your form, please check to make sure your child's last well check up was completed within the last 12 months. Note: Children under 4 years old, check up should be within 6 month.  Please complete the parent's sections of the form before submitting the form to us for review.  Allow 5 business days for forms to be completed and uploaded back into the webportal site.

**Reminder:  Due to HIPPA regulation, Lighthouse Pediatrics can no longer fax medical forms to camp, daycare or school facility.
